Another bright sunny day, T-shirt weather again, but more windy than the day before. It was Martin Luther King Day, so we decided to avoid the crowded city and drove along the CA-1 to Point Reyes. But before that, just after breakfast, we took a small walk to the beach. Surf was up, no doubt, and lots of surfers taking the opportunity. The same applied to a flock of sanderlings.
The original plan was to visit Muir Woods Nat'l Monument, but after a short stop at a surprisingly unbusy Muir Beach, we weren't able to get a free parking spot. So we drove to Pt. Reyes instead. It was a very nice drive up the CA-1, quite different from the southern CA-1, which made up for the lighthouse already been closed for the day. Instead, we went to McClures Beach and had a wonderful sunset.
