After six years of what, that was last weekend?, I've been to the HAM RADIO Exhibition in Friedrichshafen again. The last time I went there was also the last time the fair was at the old conference centre. The new (well, new for me that is) location has much more space, it isn't stifling anymore and everyone is quite relaxed. Unfortunately, RV camping directly on the location isn't possible any longer, which hurts the atmosphere quite a lot, compared to earlier years. It's not the same anymore.
I spent some money on NiMH batteries and a PMR transceiver and some few smaller items. Afterwards, I drove to my pal Carsten who lives in Weingarten and spent the night there. Today, we went for a short hike at castle Waldburg and had lunch in Langenargen on the boardwalk at the Bodensee. I thank Carsten wholeheartedly for his hospitality and the great weekend!

Yay for ham radio fleamarkets and Exhibitions!
I'm glad you had fun! The "hamfests" here in the states have changed over the years too..and aren't what they used to be either.
