Please Mr Postman...

...look and see, if there's a letter for me... and put it into my f*cking mailbox, dammit.

The goodness continues...

I just came back from a concert of the a cappella band Wise Guys. What a band, what an audience, what a concert! Many songs from the current album, some new for the next album and some old ones, and a performance getting better with each concert. This was the second best concert of the year so far — sorry guys, you cannot top the Fauna Project concert, even though you come damn close... (That's meant as a compliment!)

An attempt at an EF13 con report...

This year was already a great convention year. Starting with a very good Further Confusion in January, continued by the small Herbstcon Sproing! (Herbstcon Spring Edition) meeting, followed by a very relaxing Mephit Mini Con and my first Anthrocon. The latter was unique, due to being able to build a bridge between the business atmosphere of most large fantasy conventions and the laid-back atmosphere of a furry convention. It was really, really hard to top all these excellent moments I had so far.

Back from Eurofurence

Best party ever. We drank up the hotel bar. Twice. We ate up the steak house. Completely. Not a single piece of meat left. Lots of work, excellent atmosphere, great hotel, superb hotel staff. Loved the Fauna Project concert, loved the Alec concert, the pawpet show was a roaring success, great press coverage, cool dead dog party. More later, need some sleep.

Packing for Eurofurence

And all I can think about is OMG, what have I got myself into again?! I don't have that much to do this year, and still the car will be full. I need a larger car.

Why I'm working for an open source product...

Wär doch furchtbar, wenn man seinen Lebensunterhalt nur mit Dingen verdienen könnte, die eigentlich Scheiße sind.

Oh, great.

One of the street guides for next year's vacation arrived today. Of course it is the old edition. I cannot blame the book store, because they had to order it from the distributor themselves. Luckily, US maps don't change that much compared to German maps. And strictly speaking it is valid until end of the year. However, a newer edition exists and I hate to use old maps. Yet, the distributor apparently thinks that it is okay to sell old maps. There is no way to get the current (last year's!) edition in Germany. I could mail order the current edition from the publisher, however handling and shipping is almost as expensive as the map itself.

California Dreaming...

I've booked my winter vacation! Four weeks of San Francisco, Further Confusion and RV trip with my parents next January / February.
