More new music on the shelf

Two albums I bought today, and one I forgot to write about:

Aber sonst geht's, Schäuble?!

Laut taz soll unser Innenminister den Satz "Wir hatten den 'größten Feldherrn aller Zeiten', den GröFaZ, und jetzt kommt die größte Verfassungsbeschwerde aller Zeiten." vom Stapel gelassen haben. Wenn er das wirklich so gesagt haben sollte, dann haben wir hier inzwischen wirklich Weimarer Verhältnisse der späteren Jahre. Zumindest was die Verachtung unserer Verfassungsgrundsätze angeht.

Snap.com crap

Can someone enlighten me what the benefit of this Snap.com bullshit is supposed to be? I just see problems with it. It is against the concept of links, annoying as hell, creates a data trail with my personal data at snap.com (which could be used to blackmail, tells them practically my whole friends list, tells them which friend entries I actually read), might be abused for cookie-stealing, cross-site-scripting and the like, fakes page impressions at the target sites, etc, pp.

A million flies can't be wrong

In a recent discussion (which doesn't belong here) someone wrote:

Because users will not stay at a place where policy and leadership is bad.

I've been a user of ham radio AX.25 BBS since 1989, Usenet News since 1991, web forums since they came up. In my experience, the opposite is true. Social projects with poor leadership can be extremely successful, regardless better alternatives. It isn't limited to technology. I served my civilian service at an elderly care service, the leadership was not existing, at best. Except some few exceptions, the staff was worse than incompetent. The few competent employees and helpers were bullied. Nevertheless, the (supposedly) non-profit society was and is the most successful organization of that type in town, even though there are better alternatives. It's really frustrating, and in case of elderly care, outright life-threatening.

Returned the tube with the broken valve today...

Gronk browse Google Maps. Gronk no speak. Gronk take tube, look holes. Gronk go grab new tube. Gronk give customer new tube. Customer bemused but satisfied.

I had to take the tram today...

...as the back wheel of my bicycle was flat again. The valve of the new tube wasn't fitted correctly and leaks quite an amount of air. Luckily, I had a spare tube. I hope this one will last longer than just a fews days.
