San Francisco, Day 1

We got up early, but it took a while to get started. After breakfast, we took the tram line F to buy some tickets for Alcatraz for tomorrow (I just hope that it won't rain all the time) and bought a three day Muni pass. Next, we went shopping at Border's. I bought some CDs and two DVDs for a reasonable price. Afterwards, we waited twenty minutes in line for the cable car back to Fisherman's Wharf and talked to a nice elderly couple from Michigan, I believe.

Cable cars are really fun. Every time I'm in San Francisco I have to take a ride with those... For the rest of the day (so far), we went to the North side of the Golden Gate Bridge to shoot some photos. By chance, we found a nice place called Rodeo Beach. I could swear I've seen this location before...

As I've never been to Fort Point (on the south side of the bridge) before, we visited that place as well. A great photo location, but it was quite windy and cold.

This photo was shot on the way back from the fort to the car park:

Right now, my mother is taking a nap. I guess we'll go and find some place for dinner shortly.
