My itinerary was Nürnberg, Frankfurt, Philadelphia and finally Orlando. The take off in Nürnberg was 33 minutes late, but that's not unusual. Opposed to what I expected there were only few turbulences and even
the kids on board were reasonably calm. The Frankfurt airport is still under reconstruction, which means missing or misleading signs and walking all the way from the end of concourse A to the end of
concourse C through the terminal halls. The security measures by US-Airways are getting more and more obscure (three people at the gate who practically stand next to each other requesting to see my passport, requirement to give an emergency contact...)
The flight to Phili was very calm without any notable turbulences, however I ended up in a row with the least
possible distance between seats. Also the machine, an Airbus A330, appeared to be quite old, the backrest of the seat was too short for me and the cushion too soft.
The folks in Philadelphia appeared to be quite stressed. A very busy airport. Boarding was on time, but the take off was 30 minutes too late due to the rain. The plane was quite a run-down Boeing 757 with an annoyingly load AC, but otherwise the flight was uneventful. We arrived in Orlando only 10 minutes late, with a sudden stop at the parking position of the plane.
Grabbed my bag, got the rental car, got lost on the toll roads, got confused by a broken toll collection machine, went to 7Eleven for some drinks and finally, after some searching, arrived to
the hotel. The Radisson Worldgate Hotel is a bit hard to find after dark, a couple of signs could improve that...
Apparently the party already started. I found bigbluefox filming on the parking lot, which was totally by chance as there is lots and lots of parking lot. Inside, the sound check somehow
evolved to the first dance of the convention.
And yes, one elevator was broken, another one kept on calling the emergency line by itself, much to the dismay of the (only) call center agent handling the calls.

Danke für den Trip-Report. :)
Das riecht so nach den Gates C7-9. Da ist immer ordentlich Auflauf mit Sicherheitsmaßnahmen. Wird eigentlich sonst nur noch bei Flügen nach TLV (wer hätts gedacht?) gemacht.
