that rings a familiar tone in my memory... masses of people working themselves up the stairs... lets hope you atleast were in the first or second floor?
Not really an issue as the conference center has only two floors and plenty of escalators :-) Luckily, the elevators in my hotel still work. Would be quite annoying to have to take the stairs to the 12th floor...
