Brainshare, Day 2

I held two tutorials today: the second session of the basic Linux troubleshooting tutorial, which went much better than the first one. Despite the early time (8:30, welcome to the midnight lecture!) about 80 people actually showed up, very few walking out, and I've got at least some questions in between. One participant "complained" that I put into one hour what took him two years to find out...

The second tutorial about IPv6 just drew 15 people, however I didn't expect anything else, especially those with four or five other sessions running parallel which I would have liked to attend myself. But I'm quite satisfied with it.

The rest of the work day I spent helping out at the SLES10 SP1 booth again and attended the sponsor's night. This year's theme was sports. Got a pat on the shoulder by Grizzbee, the mascot of the Utah Grizzlies ice hockey team. The mascot performer is really good. Original, creative and always in action. There was another mascot present, a baseball ball critter, who interacted okay, but apart from being able to walk on stilts in costumer was quite average.

The Merlot was as excellent as I remembered it, and the food was perfect. While last years party was quite boring, this one rocked. I haven't seen any of the Microsoft guys or gals, though. And please someone tell me, who were those seriously hot booth babes?
