Lagoon day -- without a lagoon.

Well, our American colleagues call their yearly department excursion "lagoon day" (because they go BBQ at a lake,) so my boss decided we'll call our excursion the same. However, we did not go to a lake. Instead, we went to Markt Feucht and visited the Hermann Oberth Raumfahrt Museum which is a small but very interesting museum dedicated to the work of Hermann Oberth, a pioneer of space technology. Very geeky exhibits, cool stuff in fact...

Afterwards, we went on a short but scenic hike through the Schwarzachklamm, with some sandwiches and cocktails provided by a mobile bar on the turning point and quite an excellent entertainment program for the kids by two stage magicians. On the way back, we had dinner at a beer garden.

Despite the occasional rain quite an entertaining trip and it was fun to meet the families of some colleagues in a different environment than our (far too loud) christmas party... Yes, I really enjoyed it, despite the headache and the sore throat...
