I'm in Pittsburgh. My luggage isn't.
Did I complain about US aviation recently? Well, in the light of today's experience I have to take that back.
After six years of what, that was last weekend?, I've been to the HAM RADIO Exhibition in Friedrichshafen again. The last time I went there was also the last time the fair was at the old conference centre. The new (well, new for me that is) location has much more space, it isn't stifling anymore and everyone is quite relaxed. Unfortunately, RV camping directly on the location isn't possible any longer, which hurts the atmosphere quite a lot, compared to earlier years. It's not the same anymore.
...couldn't be much more expensive than the hotel here in Capelle, which charged additional EUR 17 for the breakfast buffet. Per day.
I traveled to our office in Capelle yesterday. The flight to Amsterdam was delayed by 50 minutes, which was announced after boarding, the plane could use some fresh paint on the outside and the interiour has seen better days as well, but the flight itself was surprisingly smooth, even though we had to pass several thunderstorms. The Fokker 70 is my favourite plane for regional flights now... :-)
At last, I've edited and uploaded the photos of this year's trip to Utah. Sorry, again no photos from Novell Brainshare (hence the folder name.) ;-)
I just bought the flight tickets to Anthrocon. Unfortunately with Air France via CDG as everything else from NUE is terribly expensive, but if they mess up my baggage I'll survive the few days without it...
HCSE is a very cosy, small furmeet in a former church near Fulda. It was very good to meet friends again, chat through the night and have excellent food (thanks to our chefs!) Exactly what I needed after the previous straining weeks. If possible I'll be back next year. Thank you, somewolf for organizing!
