I wonder whether a sleeping bag named Aspen is going to keep me warm, as there is a German idiom "zittern wie Espenlaub" ("shaking like a leaf".)
The jalapeños at the local Subway here in downtown Pittsburgh are so hot I have to stay way from the sprinkler head with my breath for the next two hours!
Did I complain about US aviation recently? Well, in the light of today's experience I have to take that back.

The Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung is a public authority reporting to the German minister of the interior. They sponsor and publish research about German politics and society. Recently, they published the paper "Politik bei Benjamin Blümchen und Bibi Blocksberg" (German only) which is about the political attitude of the two popular radio play series Benjamin Blümchen (a talking elephant) and Bibi Blocksberg (a young witch). The study states that both series represent the German political system quite badly:

The switch box of my bike's transmission was stuck at the fourth gear after re-attachment yesterday. Thus, I drove to the repair shop. One of two the levers which press the pin for the gear into the hub didn't work anymore.
